Default Black top water pump hitting inner wing!

Anyone else have this happen when cornering hard left?
The three bolts that hold the pulley on hit the wing! lol
There's probably about 10-20mm clearance at a complete guess (should really of taken a pic) and the engine and gearbox mounts were all fine at the time of fitting (month or so ago).

I was thinking about doing the same thing! lol
How did you do it, with a file? Or did you take the pulley off and then do it?

I would remove the bolts then get them in a vice and file/grind them slimmer

Thats what I'll try and do assuming there is enough clearance to get them out whilst the engine is in?! lol

Replace the bolts with some shallower hex-key headed ones?
If not maybe uprated engine mount?

Can yon not just slacken the engine mount, bar the engine over a little bit more then lock the engine mount up again?

That could work if you have enough play in the gearbox mounts. Works fine on a ka too.
I took the bolts out one at a time and used my hand lathe (grinder lol.)

Easier just to grind the bolts down a bit I think...
Will have a play when I get a chance, cheers!

Are you using the cvh style mount?

Interested as i've modified mine to use the blacktop/duractec mount on the end of the engine. Hopefully theres no movement in it but nows the time to check before i'm done with the fabrication!

Hopefully mine will be right then. Though might be worth clearancing my inner wing now while I've got the chance since I'm doing it for blacktop aux belt setup anyway.

So would another work around for this be to mod the block for a silver top water pump or is it easier to mod the bolts on the water pump pulley?
