xr4x4 project..so far..
here is my xr4x4 2.8 project so far.
bought from a friends relative, it had been sat for a few year locked away. had a look around and underneath, the chassis is rock solid, no rust on the wheel arches or anything and 109k, not bad miles for the year.
this is how it was when i got it.

battery was dead so got a new one along with a full service, oil, plugs, leads, etc...
fired up 1st time, exhaust was a bit rotten to be fair but that was getting replaced anyway.

now a few people have said this isnt the original front end of an xr4x4, it isnt from what ive googled. although weve had a look underneath and everthing, its totally straight and still has the original slam panels with vin etc..
ive heard rumors saying people use the cossie type grills as its better for air intake??
now mods,
also using a k&n panel filter but have no pic.
was going for a black on black colour theme with mine, same as my old rs2000
so first things first, rs2000 wheels

courtesy of one of the passionford lads,
next on the list
exhaust, was kinda looking for a cheap full stainless but searching the internet for months ive had no luck so had to save up and go all out.

now for fitting the rs wheels,

15's on 195/50/15, definatly needs some lowering haha

exhaust fitted this morning aswell.

also picked these tsw imola's 17's cheap with toyo's too

im thinkin if i keep the rs2000 15's on then il fit the spax shocks n springs just so it sits lower and the wheels look more tucked in the arches...
if not then il just try the tsw's
