how can i tell what map sensor i got
what can tell me if i have a standard map sensor or 3bar? Its only stage 1 but would still like to check as boost is now about 15psi
It should be mounted to the inner wing. To the left of the header tank, upside down. 3 x 10mm bolts hold it in. I'd say yes to see part number. But if you know who's chip it is. Just give them a shout and ask if they fit a 3 bar. I very much doubt it.
95% sure it'll be standard

This sounds dangerous!
I assume your boost has been adjusted?
If so then there is far more involved than just changing the MAP sensor, namely a remap and injector changes etc.
Going by what you have said you may be heading for an engine meltdown!

hi martin. I put a post up about it a while ago which u commented on. There was no pre load on actuator and i was down on power. Just need a new chip to take into abount voltage chance between standard map and 3 bar one iirc. Injector are still within safe limits
Oh right, tbh it's going to be more a custom chip as typical stage 1 uses standard hardware.
Yes different map sensors have completely different scales so you would need a chip calibrated for it as such AND for the amount of boost you are running.

are 4x4 and 2wd map sensors different? i've read the wiring is different as the 2 end pins are the other way round? if thats the case can i swap them round and use a 2wd map sensor on a 4wd?
cheers
