Whats the difference between a standard mk4 rs turbo exhaust and a standard xr3/i exhaust

and would they fit on my 1.3 ohv escort

There would be a difference, certainly between the XR3 and RST, the latter being FI would fix directly to the turbo, whereas the former would be on a conventional manifold, 4-2-1 most likely.

Bore diameter is different also, iirc the ERST is a 2.5" system the others I believe are smaller. You would be able to bodge either up to fit though with reducers etc. To be honest this is probably the only time you will hear me say this but somebody like PowerFlow might be a good bet to nail you something together

The xr3i exhaust has a smaller bore than the rat item and is more suited to n/a applications. It's a direct and worthwhile mod to put on a 1.4/1.6 cvh engined car but the manifold will not bolt on to your 1.3 engine. Are you after performance or looks? If performance it really won't make any difference. If looks I would just get a back box if I were you

Well im after more of the looks but i dont want some daft loud gay sounding back box, just thought this way it'd be easier sound nice and probably cheaper thats why i came on here to ask tbh otherwise ill just keep the standard exhaust
