Just wandering what happened to the escort,i had my eye on it to but but haven't seen it since, nice looking car.

 

Minty mint white Esc Cos? Used to belong to Barry from Surrey group, but sold it a few years back... Saw it at a few shows after that, but not sure where it is now, sorry.

They must have changed the plate, last i seen it was on a mallard green escos.

Well... I was working in Newcastle and staying in digs when I was chatting about my Rs to a guy when another guy over heard and said he has a mint escos and it was l22 cos, he also had a few other nice cosworths, one was a mallard green escos which I believe was l22 cos and another escos which was white and only had 11,000 on the clock!!! I went round to see the car it looked mint but was told by another lad that it was rotten so I don't know, had a few saphs also! The chap said he bought them purely as investment?
He seemed a bit of a dodgy guy as well lol.

Hi mate, do you still keep in touch with Len?? i've not spoken to him for a while. Last time we spoke, he told me he'd sold the 500 also, and had just picked up a mint white saph. Couldn't believe how much he let the 500 go for to be honest. Very nice guy, also itroduced me to Andy at Brooklyn when I fisr got my 3 door, the good old days

 

Yes I still see Len now and again he is a good genuine guy I got the escos from him around 3 year ago just before he bought the white saph he still has that but it's not used much
Also Andy has just rebuilt the engine in the escort again he is one of the most genuine guys you can meet and will not rip you off

 

Yeah, Andy is a great bloke, I felt honored he was actually working on my car - one of the best in the business. Are you still running the Escort as a 2.4? Sorry for the questions buddy, I just real fond memories of Len's cossie's, he's the reason I got my 3 dr. Loved that bloody escort, apart from that damn ashtray he used to have clipped on the door, it used to make me cringe that he smoked in the damn thing, lol

 

Has just been put back to 2l as i bent a conrod and it was easier to source parts wil be a shame but i still have the crank and block so at some point i may put some new rods and pistons in and get it back to a 2.4 if i miss the torque and response

the ashtray was the first thing i moved when i got the car of len and seats ect and carpet removed for a good valet, he would look after them mechanical wise but wasnt bothered about the cosmetics
