What does this mean??
Been talking to a guy on eBay about his escort RS turbo and he says he has replaced the valve stems and it requires timing I'm sure this means it requires can timing??? I'm used to working on tanks but am I rIght if I'm wrong if i am what does he mean?
he probably means he replaced the stem seals, they're an easy job and they're there to stop oil going down your valve guides which usually causes smoke on overrun.
as for timing, i have no idea. has he had the cambelt off? no reason to mess with the timing when you change the stem seals, unless you take the head off completely.

Not on the CVH engines. You can buy a special tool to do them.Remove the cam cover remove the.rocker arms.Put no 1n 4 pistons to top dead centre.Screw the special tool onto where the rocker was and this pushes down on top of the valve.Remove the collets and take the tool off. Then remove thevalve spring and remove the valve stem oil seal.
