Ive been offered a P8 ecu at a good price and it comes with a collins board inside it . Now being new to the whole cosworth management side of the conversion and wanting to run wasted spark and antilag how can i tell if the board inside the P8 will run these ?
Thanks

not if your software is correct. our software will run both wasted spark and ALS/LC with the ecu in its std form with no baby board. Meaning closed loop and the ecu adaption will still work correctly.

they can run a baby board, but they shouldn't, and it can damage the ecu in the long term.
I see quite a few P8 ecus that have had baby boards fitted, and 1 in 10 has the adaptive rom damaged so the ecu will not correctly work.
From factory they don't have a board fitted and we don't use them with our software.
We think its something to do with the refresh rate of the adaptive rom ,and they seem to refresh to quickly when the board is fitted damaging the rom, sometimes you cannot reset them as the actual rom gets damaged.
