Default Any Renault mechanics on?

Need help with my Clio DCI mk2.

What is the Renault official way to remove the ECU cover?

Having read some posts on the interwebs there is mixed opinion. Some come off real easy and others not.

People have suggested engine crane them out, which I have tried and it is stuck fast.

Tempted to get the angry grinder on it!

I cant understand what they were thinking of when they put it on. And its the thickest piece of metal I have ever seen on a car.

I'm interested what the dealerships have to do when they need removing.

I believe that is on the petrol model where the ecu is attached to the inlet manifold.

Mine is attached to the inner wing behind the battery.
