Default Wax on wax off

There has been a recent issue of both fast ford and classic ford where they go into details of how to clean your car
And have a thing about using a claybar
I'm pretty sure there was a spray to use to help get things moving but can't remember what it's called or which issues the features were in
Any help please?
And can I get the stuff from halfords?
And how much do I need to do the quarter panel and roof of the Mondeo?
And does it work in glass?

Never used one myself but there was a good link in the concours section of this forum showing exactly how to use it all etc.

I'd guess it's just warm water to start mate, that's what we used when we cut and polished cars with 1500 paper?

Yes you can use it on glass,a megs clay can be cutt in half and one half will do a full car.

Clay can be used with water no sweat!
Anyone who says otherwise needs to try it. (I worked for a detailing company for 12 months)

Clay works on nearly everything except plastic.

I got the auto glym clay bar kit years ago and ive still got.a bit left.I did our focus when.we got it.It looked really clean and shinny in the show room.It took me 4 attempts to get the dirt out of the paint on the roof and 3 attempts on the bonnet. The car was minging. Its the dirtiest car ive ever done.

I wouldn't use the spray that comes with the clay kit, use a strong solution of car shampoo and water, the more lubrication the better!!

I have to say someone got me the Auto Glym kit as a birthday present, I used it on my car but it only made the clay slightly brown, (maybe because I polish etc so often) and tbh the feel I got after a polish was just the same as when I clayed and polished.

I came to a theory that perhaps claying is only neccessary if th car has not been well looked after previously?
