im converting my orion to efi turbo and was just wondering if the iat sensor from an escort rs turbo will work in an efi manifold from an xr2i as the fiesta turbo ones have a smaller thread if the escort one will work it will save me having to cut the wires and get a thread reducer any info will be greatly appreciated thanks

 

Unfortunately not mate. Needs to be from an FRST and you will need a suitable reducer, they normally come with one.

Laren, I've just realised who you are.

It was my brother that swapped the Orion for your old RS Turbo. How is the old Orion?

I'm glad it's getting the EFi turbo treatment, just what I recommended he did to it!

the orion is tucked away from the bad weather the only change is escort cosworth wheels new rear bumper and blue stripes instead of chrome done a few bits n bobs to the engine like stem seals and a couple of other bits and a couple of bits of body work i just need to get my finger out and do the turbo conversion now its a shame your brother couldnt get the rs running again due to moving and stuff as it wasnt a bad car i spent a small fortune on that rs lol
