having ordered a grp a coil and loom i have got trouble getting the loom to work. as a result im running the coil in the oe manner. msd sent me a pdf guide to fitting the loom and still i cant my head around why it wont have it. im thinking ive damaged the a. coil or b. more than likely the relay as a result of wiring it up wrong. surely the coil either works or doesnt, not work with oe setup but not with the group a loom? BUT if the relay was damaged surely the fuse would have blown? either im missing something or the relay may have already been buggered. any ideas?

quick update. tested the relay and its ok. the bullet connect is supposed to be the trigger from the dizzy. having mocked up the loom testing the loom/relay the relay clicked when the bullet connector(trigger) was tested against the + side along with the + - batt terminals. its as though the circuit isnt complete when in situ. the instructions dont say anything about the old coil loom apart from using the + of the old coil loom for the trigger. anyone?
id appreciate a diagram if anyone can help. cheers

The old power feed to the coil simply acts as a trigger for the new relay, which in turn gives your coil battery voltage through the relay. Its very very simple.
The negative side of the coil stays exactly as it was, you only need to re wire the power side.
