Hi all i have a escort van r reg 55 d the red light near the clock flashes like mad every morning and some times in the day. so i jump start it it starts no worries. i have looked at all avenues and now it brings me to the solonide on the pump it looks to have a plug with three wires going in to it but for the life of me i cant find the shear bolt to remove the security panel any pictures or info knocking about i would be most gratefull. Thanks for your time.

 

there is about 4 or 5 of them they look like big rivets they are a bastard to remove on the vehicle an automatic centre punch [ie the one with the spring in the middle ] was how i did it

 

Thank you cabriolet ive located one so far still looking at it thinking should i try and take it out
