Default Ford Racing Puma Question

Hi im needing some advice its that time of year again MOT time and guess what its failed

thing is its failed on emissions and mot place said the cat has gone down!

im not convinced considering its been stud all winter and only started once a month for the last 6 months.

i was thinking of just giving it a blast down the local motoway clear it out like.

just had new plugs! leads and coil pack were changed only 2 years ago.

also no warning likes were on the dash.

whats your thoughts?

Do you have the vales they measured? Like CO, HC, Lambda number.
I don't think they give you CO2 and O2?

well i gave it a blast down the motorway for 40ish miles at 90mph and it went straight through mot on re-test.

cheers for advice

think ill just re-test the emissions just before it goes away for winter though and see whats its doing that way ill know if there really is a problem or not gives me 6 months to save up then if a new sport cat is needed.
