Default S2 no spark, no signal to injectors

has anyone of you got this problem? i am after conv to efi using xr3i efi loom and ofac.
now there is no spark and i noticed that fuel injectors don't work. when connecting brow cable from injector to battery it works.
i checked every connection twice and didnt find anything. i have also swapped ecu between ofac and ofab, still nothing.

any suggestion what to check?
thanks

Checking the CPS signal would be a good idea.

You can check the output at the ECU at the respective pins (AC voltage).

I would suggest a wiring fault. I believe the standard loom has a separate relay for the injectors?

Using a multi meter check you have 12V at the injectors.... As above no CPS signal will also mean no spark/fuel.

Does the fuel pump prime properly?

Yes, although this will be the output from the edis unit.

The edis unit will output a 12v square wave, so if you have no signal here it is either the cps, cps wiring, edis unit or edis wiring.

? come again, what do you mean no bracket? Are you using the fiesta RS cps set up... so sensor through block?

Gap should be in the mm range, not the cm range... So this may well be the issue.

Rob,
yes, sensor through block but without this plastic cup. i bolted cps straight to block. it is very close to the wheel but maybe not close enough.

can it be the coil pack that is broken?
i read this thread and thought of it https://passionford.com/forum/ford-e...he-runs-d.html

on EDIS pin no 5 & 6 (goes to crank sensor) should there be a 1,5 Volt?
if there shouldn't be any voltage, can EDIS be broken? i have two and on both is the same situation.

Make sure the brown wire from pin 4 of edis module has a good earth, I put mine straight to battery neg. Without that you'll have no spark at all. Check condition of cps plug and wiring. And also I think im right in thinking that the injectors and coil packs share the same earth wires? Can someone confirm this? Thats how my rs2000 is wired up anyway and it runs fine, (both pretty much the same loom layout, rs2k and xr3i). without these ^^ earths wired to the correct pin in the ecu you wont have a hope in hell of startin it.
Check it out let me know how you get on. I used a good website for the pin locations when doing mine, il try and find a link for you

This seems to be a good bucket full of info on the same conversion ur doing. See if it helps

i found the problem. it seems that i connected the cps in the wrong way. pin 5 and 6 on connector were swapped. now it starts every time. i have been checking it several times and it was always fine according to diagrams.
anyway, thanks for your help and advise.
