4wd engine onto 2wd sump

hi, has anyone fitted a 2wd sump onto a 4wd engine without changing the pick up pipe? or had any issues doing this?

I think from memory I had to file a section out of the baffle, but was so long ago I can't 100% remember :-/
I fitted a 4x4 pump/pipe when I rebuilt my engine with a 200block!!
