As title looking for options using escort rst fly wheel what sort of prizes and best place to buy Cheers

 

paddle clutch is best i would say, but make sure you do the mk5 pedal quadrant upgrade if your using it in a escort rst.

 

deffo padle clutch with uprated cover n you will need to do the adjustable pedal conversion on it also

 

im running a zvh 1800 with a non paddle ap racing one and its at its tether,
defintately paddle clutch needed

 

AP 4 paddle clutch! I bought one for my 2.0 zvh turbo xr2

 

It's going in my mk2 fiesta with fiesta turbo box what's needed for pedal convertion

 

AP Racing CP2000-35, good for 300ftlb and is not a paddle so drives much nicer in town etc. £400.
Pedal conversion is literally just a mk5/6 pedal and quadrant, gives more travel on the cable as the high pressure covers require it to fully disengage the clutch.
If your ZVH then I also recommend fitting an IB5 gearbox as the fiesta BC box will last about 10mins with any sort of decent power/torque, IB5's are not much better but they are at least better! lol

 

So does the pedal box just go straight in or are mods needed ? Using existing cables etc?

 

What this man said but I would be wanting a LSD in the box or it will be single wheel spinning city. LoL

 

Already done 1000 miles in it but the clutch decided to give up it was excitable to say the least lol

 

Not the pedal 'box' just the pedal and quadrant, yes fits straight in place of the original one
Yeah if you've not got an LSD then get one! A Racing Puma one (what I run) drops straight in as does a S2 RST one with a little grinding off the edge to fit the crown wheel.

 

Ok thanks a lot chaps does the escort rs2000 run a ib5 box ? Got one available for a part raid if needed and could snatch pedal and a few other parts while I'm at it
