After four days of pure shit on this car of changing pretty much all the front end suspension components I took it back over for it's retest and it started making a funny noise and serious lack of power.
Anyway long story short etc it's started puffing smoke and making a worse and worse noise and after discovering an ill fitting airbox I thought I'd cracked it.
Airbox replaced,started boosting ok but smoking like a bitch,at least it's trying to boost but clouding the street in smoke.
Fucking joy!!!
Still,it looks easy enough to change!!!

Which looks ok but I'm always weary of buying off t'internet so if anyone knows of a reputable supplier at reasonable prices that would be great.

 

Should note it did this after the retest so at least I've got 12months ticket.

Cheers Tony,I've been told midlandturbos are ok as well?was told to avoid Eurocarparts one's as their warranty is shite but it's over a grand on there so not really an issue!!!!

Did try them but a bit of a poor attitude on the phone I felt and then when I phoned back later with more info they never bothered to phone back,tried again and again no answer.

Big thanks tony mannock though who found out a price for me from them I'm assuming via the website/a contact but sadly they were dearer than merc themselves,albeit merc could be quoting me on a recon not new unit and Tt were for a new part.

Been offered a good recon deal at Essex turbos but I'd like to know if their any good,t'internet so far says their a top company but you never know.

unfortunately it can be difficult at times to get to speak to someone at tt lot of people there but also a serious quantity of calls
at least their phone system allows you to leave a message if all operators are busy
