but id imagine alot of them have done a fair bit of leg now
so look out for good service history

I have a derv MK4 GT TDI and area's of concern have been

cam wear, ask if it's been EGR deleted if not then it may need a good clean out but you'll be able to see what MPG it's recording, wheels as a referb is going to cost £400 and caps are about £150 for a set from dealer.

Check for id plate on the fuse box cover at end of dash drivers side

I know the one I'm looking at has had the camshafts done so that's good and it's only done 83k on a 03 plate which is nothing for a diesel engine.

 

my mate has one with custom map, intercooler and coilovers - nice enough car but mk 4 golfs are a bit long in the tooth now.

 

Not likely to be a Anni on a 03 plate?
