Car tax problem
I have recently removed my private plate and have been sent a reminder as it runs out end of feb but the reminder has the private plate on it. Thats not the major problem as i can just get a v10 form, the main problem is that my insurance have not yet sent me my new certificate with the new D plate on hence my cert has my old private plate on it, i have all the plate transfer paperwork and the mot has the D plate stamped on it, is there no way i can get my tax before i get my new insurance cert as its the last day of feb tomorrow
Any one help?

Surely your insurance company can have a cover note to you in a day or two with the correct number on? I would take all the paperwork you have regarding the transfer to your local dvla office and tax it there
Just had another thought mate!
You can get your car tax on-line from the dvla and they don't need to see your ins cover note either
They do it via computer checking or something i'm sure this will work ok

It says that the disc will be delivered up to 5 working days, no good really as i have people viewing the car before then, will phone the dvla tomorrow, cheers for your help though

There is always a sneeky way round the law...
You are allowed to drive your car on a road if you are on the way to get your tax that day...
I drove my car for about a week without tax as I was px-ing my car and did not want to payout for new tax...but to get around that I just carried my papers in the car with me, so if I did get pull I could show them all the paperwork and pretent I was on my way to get my tax that day.
That is if the DVLA stuff does not work out for ya.
