Heading over on Tuesday so just need a quick guide of what good to do and where to go etc . Going over with my girlfriend so has to be suitable LOL

Looking for good places to eat, shop, shows etc and generally keep her entertained

IMO the best shops are down the soho area, Spring street, prince stree etc. (i think thats what there called right FM?) Also Bleecker there are some nice little resturants bars etc. Theres an indian down there for all you can eat in the lunch times for 6.95 i think lol

Loads of stuff to do If ur into shows suppose its gotta be Broadway? though i have never been to a show as it really doesnt float my boat.

IMO mate downtown is the best palce lots of very trendy shops etc down there. Walked into the Ralph Lauren shop and didnt see anything under $600 and there was a sale on Was a fookin nice shop mind!

Oh forgot to say for Food, u got little Italy and China town etc which is easy peasy to find.

get the Pathe train from Chamber st (Ground zero)which bounces all day long back and forth to New Jersey,last train back around midnight,
When you get to the other side of the river in New Jersey,if my memory serves,walk out of the subway outlet then walk back on yourself for about 3-4 mins, so you are walking back to the river,and you will see the Manhatton skyline,it is best to do this at night for MAXIMUM brownie point with the missus,

Empire stat building is ok but get there around 8.30am for less queing up,

Up in Time square as you are walking North on the right hand side there is a
Dinner,a bit pricey but very nice food and the beer is nice also,Marcys or something simular in name.

Statue of liberty is good you can get the tickets for this in a castle type building in Battery park, i cant remember the price but it was no more than $30 i think it worked out at the time i went in November about Ł18ish.

If the sun is shinning take a stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge for a nice Eastern veiw of Manhatton.

Dont be affraid of the people of NewYork some look a bit weierd, but take them for how they act towards you, not how they look,they really are nice folk,scary but nice.

Lastly try and meet up with Erik and Ztee top people,

im trying to get the money together to come over again soon.

Dude, I wish i would've know you were coming sooner..I want some 300mm brakes from mike R! Like everybody said, walk Time Square (Don't buy any electronics there) look around and the lights are very nice at night. Like Steve said looking into NYC from my side of the water is Very Nice and should give you some points.
Ok, bad part....We're supposed to get a shitload of Snow this week. You might be staying longer than you thought.. (FPMSL Rhys...Snow! LOL).
