make sure your igntion amps are properly connected
with my wasted spark i had to swap the leads over as it was firing in the wrong order
i think i had to swap 1-3 and 2 and 4 but carnt remember, its definitly wrong iring order, its down to what wire on the wasted spark loom goes to the ecu i think

if it makes no odds why did i have to swap mine over to get my car to run?
even though they both fire at the same time surely if its firing on the wrong stroke of the engine its still not going to run, so swapping the leads over isnt going to do no harm

Why do you think it's called wasted spark?
the coil pack is basically 2 coils in one unit. 1 and 4, 2 and 3 will fire at the same time, one plug will fire on the exhaust stroke every time.
the driver is wired correctly for the coil to be connected as matt has it, as it started and ran a car with the leads on this way.
if swapping the plug leads over across the coil solves the issue, the wiring loom must be incorrectly wired to the coil,, so the two outer pins on the coil loom would need swapping over.

yeah as its what was wrong with mine the wire was put in the wrong end
but as i said i couldnt remember which way to swap the leads but i swapped them and it fired up becuase it was 180 degress out when firing
so if 1-4 and 2-3 are the same if he swaps them over it will fire 180 degress out? if so the car will proberbly run, im only going on past experience with the wasted spark on my old cossies

if he swaps 1 with 4, and 2 with 3 it won't make any difference at all.
he would need to swap 1 with 2, and 4 with 3 to see if that cures the issue.
Or just leave the leads as they are, and swap the two outer wires on the coil pack plug.

you are getting confused james
you are infact agreeing with what has been said
we all said swap 1 and 4 with 2 and 3 you said thats wrong he needs to swap 1 with 2 and 4 with 3
in my book thats the same thing
was it a good night out
