Are the any other short shifters other then B&M as the amount of vibration is stupid an ive put rubber mounts in aswell

 

ford puma gear linkage is a lot shorter throw than standard escort one and very easy to fit

 

Not sure if this would help if youve already installed rubber mounts
thier was/is a step by step guide on RS bible about this cant find it though sorry
had the same problem with mine but the mounts fix it
i think thier the same as the fuel pump mounts iirc
