right the start of this restore, story is i bought this about 4 or 5 years ago may be wrong got it on the road did a few bits to it used it for a little while then sold it to a freind. he bought an engine with twin 40s leather recaro trim etc, he hardly used it in this time then took it off the road when he got a new car then left it parked up for a couple of years. then he offered it back to me and i bought it back needs a new lease of life and that is what its going to get! heres some pics when i had it years ago and how it looks now. and alot more pics as i start restoring it. enjoy

skid marks cos back brakes stuck on, quick bang with hammer sorted it out lol

looks ok damo bit of body work needed . you still got the mk2 mate ?

 

I like it needs black sills though but otherwise spot on

 

alot of body work lol got rid of mk2 cheaper to piss about with mk3s now lol

That look nice There was a fully restored inside and out Yellow XR3 local to me. It was on ebay and other places, took ages for it to sell. Guess the colour put people off

 

Normally I don't like yellow cars but that looked proper with the 16i front bib etc

 

Looks ace with the 16i bits on it, should look great when it's done

Well Smart Mate I used to have a Black x reg XR3 did a part restro on it resprayed black lowered 40mm 15 "stealth alloys Ashley comp exhaust kent cam converted 4 speed to 5 speed was really sad when i sold it on keep up the good work

got a little bit done sourced some panels from a good freind start with boot lid




then the bonnet but bonnet no good as it is flimsey so need pick another one up

o/s rear lower corner has had a repair (badly) so need sort this out

both full outer sills need replacing n/s is badly done steps out alot

Looks minted on those wheels, is that a refurbed set?

what's the plans for the engine? I reckon 2.0 Zetec on throtle bodies would be ideal
