looks like it coulb be belt driven looking a one pic, they do a work supercharger kit for R/C cars. looks good but you wouldn't need an intercooler like that as it looks to have no air flow!!!
Reads to me like the geezer who posted claimed hed seen this car n they took the pics...
Bollocks.
Ive seen these exact same pics about a bloody year ago.
Not turbod, but could be a very very basic belt driven supercharger looking at the pics.
Id be totally shocked if it did anything performance wise tho.

superchargers on rc cars have being proven not to work, something about the intake and exhaust port being open at the same time meaning all the extra fuel being thrown in just goes right through, as for turbochargers on rc cars i have never seen it done but probably dont work anyway and also that guy who claims to have a go with it is bullshitting i have also seen those pics well over a year ago and it is a car from america
easiest way to make power is up the nitro percentage anyway and after crewing top fuel for 8 years I know how to measure nitro content!
oh and have the equipment! my Savage runs 20% but it could safely be tuned to 25% and that would see a good increase in power.
