Default Meguires Deep Crystal 3 step system

Has anybody used this gear before? I've got some which i bought as it was on offer and i thought i'd give it a whirl.
Step one is a 'paint cleanser', step two is a polish, step three is a carnuba wax.
I had a do at our lasses State Blue Fiesta this afternoon, personally i wouldn't say im astounded by it, admitedly i used the cleanser by hand and would probably be better with a machine (?) as it didnt remove a great deal of the gritty feel of the paint, and maybe its just how im using it but i found the polish didn't seem to dry properly and was difficult to remove completely with leaving faint smears and dark patches. I worked on one panel at a time, in the shade with panels cool to the touch, what i would say are pretty good conditions.
If anyone has used this tackle before, or has any advice in general, i'd be glad to hear it

Stage one and two are actually pretty good.
Give the car a good clay, polish the car with the paint cleanser, then the glaze and finish it off with a decent wax like Meguires #16

Money much better spent on something half decent.

Cleaning products are all personal opinion though. Some people will swear by something that the next person says is shite. Look how many use Autoglym, and I think most of their products are dog shite, so it's all swings and roundabouts!

Autoglym stuff is generally "ok". Some of their products are good for ease of use/all rounders, others are just bottom end of the market.

The only reason Autoglym stuff is so widely used is because it's stocked in all kinds of shops all over the place, so that's what Joe Average sees the most, whereas the better, more specialised stuff is only available online and only really known to enthusiasts.

Some Meguiars stuff is excellent, I've got loads myself, but the kit mentioned above is rubbish. Branded for convenience/ease of use.

i found this stuff rubbish too, made no difference to minor swirls and scratches, however the stage 3 wax seemed ok but hard work to buff off iirc...

Rubbish in your opinion...

As I said, it mainly seems to be down to personal opinion in most cases. How many people still swear by Turtle Wax? Many I should think, yet it gets slated all over the place by others.

My point was more that it varies hugely depending on who you talk to. Different people like different products. There are very few right and wrong answers in the world of car cleaning products in my view, it mainly depends on what you like.

I used to work for a detailing company and we used it quite a bit.
The stage two glaze is actually a professional megs product called #7 Glaze.
The paint cleaner isn't half bad either!
Problem is stage two is a glaze, it's oils that simply sit on your paintwork to make it glossy. The standard wax aint upto much and tends to ruin the finish. A good carnuba wax sits on the oily glaze lovley and actually produces a half decent finish!

Also it depends how people are using it. I bet quite a few people on here are slapping it on and waiting for it to haze. Both stage one and two needs to be lightly buffed on and buffed straight back off again.

This was stage one and two followd by Raceglaze #55 wax.

My Best sellers on my trade stand and online store is Poorboys and meguiars.
as said its down to personal opinion.

If you are getting a gritty feel, maybe you need a clay bar or a citrus wash
