So on my old focus i had the flip key type and liked the look and shape of it but now ive brought a Fiesta is comes with the old key (non flip)

Ive seen this on eBay but how much does it cost to get the new key coded and the transponder done?

Talk to your local key cutter, Mine cut me a new key and done the coded key too for Ł35

 

take the small glass chip out of the old key and just put it in the new one. No need to recode the PATS at all.

You WILL need to code the new remote to open doors. Alarm is seperate from PATS. you can code the remote yourself.

The only cost should be the new remote, new batteries, and paying someone to cut the key itself.

 

So should i get one of them keys and go to a key cutter then? Just take the new key and the old one and leave him to it? Dont think ive got a spare so cant program one myself.
