radiant red cosworths how rare are they? and who owns them?

also i know a guy with a malard green 2wd cosworth with no sunroof came out of germany

I thought Mallard was a 90's colour as i can't recall any 80's cars wearing it? you sure thats a genuine colour or a repaint

Back in 2004, a mate of mine bought what he was told was a genuine radiant red Sapphire Cos. Cue a nice little road trip to pick it up, down to Plymouth, he got it home and it turned out it wasn't the real deal... I think there's a few threads on here from when he was asking for advice about it.

i had a 2wd cosworth in radient red g50pjo it went to a guy down south who sent a car transporter so im unsure wher it is i know of another g60pjo both cars were used as press cars but i always took thaat info with a pinch of salt, there were 10 genuine 2wd an 100 4x4 built ive spoken to a guy with a bronze met, 2wd genuine car that was a one off.

 

Very interesting.

Ive seen a red 2wd saff at the pod before.It had loads of chome under the bonnet.

 

my mate has a genuine red 4x4 saphire used to be big spec before he took the engine out 485bhp i think it was could be wrong tho.

 

i will have to investigate the malard green car i met the guy at a diff and he had the car there i never thought much about it until now but he told me i came out of germany to the isle of man and was rebuilt then he got it

 

I was the first owner of G50PJO and was told it was no.1 of 2 radiant red staffs they weren’t press cars but I believe a cancelled special order and G50 never had leather or flutes as those only came in on 4x4 version I never saw G60 but both came from hart ford at Oxford I changed the rear lights and no. Plate mount I still have some pictures

 

About 17 Red Sapphires were built, 5 were 2wd and 12 were 4x4.
