driving home then just dies? starts up after ive stopped then 30secs dies. sounds like its idleing badly wen start it up after it died? so as it was idlein badly i opened bonnet had a mooch shook the ecu and it idled from bad to sound???????????

is the ecu fooked as sometimes it drives mint and sometimes i get random electrical faults?? ordering brand new OFAM tomoz so hopefully it all gets cured!!??

I had a stop start problem years ago on a nova sr, it was the fuel filter.

 

ill get that changed asap cheers mate, only cheap arent they? thats one thing ruled out cheers

 

thats the way I look at it, if its a service item change it to rule it out and for peace of mind.

 

Could also be the halls sender in the Dizzy mines absolutely fooked at the moment car gets hot and shit hits the fan and im on a recovery truck lawwwl

 

My genuine advice would be to locate the source of your problem before installing a new ecu. It will save you sooo much time in the long run. You will also need a wideband lambda kit with an aftermarket ecu (if your mapping it your self).

I would have a check over of all the wiring, connectors etcetc, if its an intermittent thing

 

Just ordered my ofam, ill go through all wires too cheers. How much for the wideband kit n how do i istall that?

 

could be Fuel pump relay (pink one under dash drivers side), had this happen on my old rst

 

was my pink relay on mine,had melted under dash drivers side,also had problem with dizzy on another i owned when hot.

 

with you shaking ecu and it all going well i'd be inclined to look at the vacum hose going to it, make sure it's not trapped or being pinched somewhere and make sure it's not leaking too and is connected ok each end
