Hello All,

I am trying to help a friend get a set of dampers for his E plate 3 door. The main dealer can only get the rears. He dose'nt want to put Konis on and would like to preseve the cars originallty. Can someone tell who made the dampers in the first place ( SHACHS maybe ? ) And he could then speak to the orignal manufacturers to sort somthing out.

i believe that it was sachs, at least they made the original items for lesser models.

there's a company that makes custom dampers, and could probably reproduce the originals quite easily by rebuilding them, but i can't remember the name of them at the moment. i believe they're in the oxford area. will try and come up with the name for you.

will do mate. it's starting to piss me off. i hate knowing that you know something but can't remember it. i should know it, i saw a job advert for them once and was going to apply.

 

it was SPAX.

i think that they'll do custom manufacture to the spec. of the originals.
