under bonnet thingy!
ok under my bonnet to be precise the underside of my bonnet!
there is a noise proofing/heatshield cover? whatever you call it!
if that doesnt make sense i maybe best describe its black fixed to the under side of my bonnet and is basically the span af the bonnet!
my question is is there any advantage to having it on or taking it off!
if taking it off is best whill the heat of the engine do any harm to the paint work on my bonnet!
stupid question but i like the originality of it but at the same time its kinda ugly!

sound deadening adavantages, lighter and iyo looks better.
disadvantages are more engine noise, damages paint and takes originality away. the latter is not really an issue. id say keep it. my car hasnt got it fitted but the paint has suffered due to heat and the noise is more so.
