Well me and my mate stuart got hold of a mk5 zetec s fiesta and use it for some track days..





Are plans are to keep the cost down and do the work are self
and do it at little cost as poss lol

we got hold of some pro race 1.2 16" and some r888s gg compond



then we got hold of some st170 300mm front brake set up



and some focus rear disk set up to replace the drums on the back..





and some new shinny brake disks and some racing blue fluid



The strip out









stuart went round the garage and started to take of the side strips and rear wiper and motor











The harnesess



stuart went round a started to lighten the frount and rear bumpers





also pick up some braided hose from oc motorsport



The roll cage its a omp 6 point bolt in cage it will need sand blasting and powder coating..

How did Stu get the foam shit out of the bumpers? I've tried before but just had a hissy fit and stabbed it with a screwdriver a few times

 

chris ill try and get the outher side skirt off in the week and give the outer sills a sanding off for some undersill.

 

dont thinks so lol more looking like november thats the aim anyway

 

stuart used an angle grinder i think i will get stu to post up how he done it ..

 

Top track.toy.This will be a fun car.I would love to have a track toy like this.

believe it or not but we had the interior for sale on zetec owners for about 3 months with no joy so chris stuck it all in the bin so it all gone.

Front hubs painted and new wheel bearings fitted



A nice set of samco white hoses to go on aswell



Lower arms painted and new bushes fitted aswell

 

tomorrow the front end will be going on pics to follow

ok all the front ends on ie 300mm st170 front brakes hel bradied brake lines and gaz gha coilovers on









the coilover need setting up only takin out of the box ride hight to high for the track lol

the new drivers side and pasangers foot rests

Wheel and brake set up is spot on chris ,looks the nuts with the 888 on and the pro race

 

Looks really good, should go well! Get a lower front strut brace on there too mate, doesn't sound much, but for Ł40 it makes a noticeable difference, as it stops the subframe flexing as much. Also doubles as a sump/gearbox protector!

what hand break cable you guys gunna run ? ive got a focus rear end set up for mine and dont no which braided lines or handbreak cable to use.

yours is a really similar spec to mine actually, love mine as a run around,

 

the handbrake cable we used was from a st170 it fitted fine
the braided hoses we used was from hel performance from oc motorsport
