Iv just been on Ebay and there is a very nice looking Cosworth Rs500 front bumper on there for sale with a proper front spliter on it have a look

Why do they need cutting for big wheels? and how big a wheel are we talking?

 

I had to trim the inside lip of my 3dr's bumper to clear my rims Chris...just down to rim offset, catching on lock to lock.

 

I should of bought more when I bought mine, think splitters from ford where about £120 and my 500 front bumper was £550, all brand new from Brooklyn ford, they were a new batch though not from original run, I wonder what happened to the tooling for the splitters as the carbon and glass ones are far to brittle compared to the originals, and you get metal supports for inside the bumper with them as well. I bought used upper and lower rear spoilers for £600 as well just not got round to fitting them on my car yet,

 

ive got a recipt from 1996 from a ford dealer for 500 splitter £49 a side

christ an old bent one does £250 now

 

my one on the kaliber rep has had a good trimming ,but the wheels are et 15 escos fitments

A good friend of mine who incidently has two , yes two brand new RS500 bumpers still their boxes will be laughing all the way to the bank!

im glad my car had all the genuine 500 bits on when i bought it , bumper, splitter and upper and lower spoilers it kind of makes my car cheap at ten grand!

when i actually read it back i kind of thought that mate ,i wasnt being sarky .
