tax disk not arrived still ok to drive?

hello.. i taxed my car online last thursday not expecting to use the car but could do with using it for work tonight.. devon to london. surely it will show as being taxed but will i be in trouble for not having the disk in the window.. i have the confirmation email on my phone but just wondered others experiences...

I drove my Corsa for 2 months without a disc with no issues after it never turned up from online taxing.
All I had to do was pick it up from the Dvla local office,in fact the missus went and got it.

thanks for the help.. the cars been sorn since november so its not as if its following on.. i just rang the dvla and although it is taxed with them they say that its still an offence if the police were to pull me as not displaying the disk... i only thought as its been nice out id give the cossie a run but looks like ill be going in the civic... at least i know ill make it their and back without breaking down now i guess..

would have to be a cunt of a copper to actually due you given that on their computer it will show up as taxed etc.
but there there isnt really a shortage of that type of copper I guess, so perhaps the honda is your best bet!

cheaper in the civic too.. the last time i took the cossie to work it took me 10 hours to get home.. on the back of a recovery truck.. i never did find out what the problem was that day.. also saves me getting shit at work for driving an old sierra..

Thats fine in the eyes of the DVLA. But it doesnt stop the cops giving you a £30 fine for not displaying it. And then when they've stopped you for that, you better hope theres nothing else on the car they can screw you for.
