Default Mk1 FRS Engine...

Looking to fit a Mk1 FRS engine into my Mk6 Escort GTi, It is currently running a 2.0 Mondeo silvertop, but will I have to modify the mounts to chuck the later FRS engine in to the bay? also what other issue might I need to address?

Engine mount is the same

Things to look at
Gearbox? Unless you mod everything to fit the frs box

Then clutch and flywheel
Exhaust
Hoses
Aux belt to ditch air con
Fuel system
Loom
Cooling rad and fmic

Would be a cool car done

What box you going too use? Would be better to get the frs box in there mate

Also decat down pipe, actuator, fmic, airfilter and exhaust manifold and proper remap will see 300bhp?

yes, the engine mount is slightly different to the silvertop.
A few mins with a welder and you'll be sorted.
i too recommend a focus rs box, or an rs2k one as you can get shafts to fit off the shelf for that then
whack a diff in and you're away.
