Default Just Bought Another Car, Opinions On What To Do ?

Mate of mine has an ST24, over the years, he's ploughed a fair bit of money into it. over the last 6 months, lost his job, then just had a bairn, cant really afford to run it anymore, so has bought himself a 1.8 passat to get him about, cheap to run etc.

the mondy is due an MOT, and it does a need a couple of bits and bobs doing, the sideskirt clips snapped, so that needs putting back on, needs a couple of jacking point covers, needs a stereo, he painted a couple of the interior plastics, there flaking, and one of the wheels is buckled.

the wheels are not an issue, ive got a set of standard ST24 wheels, so id need to get hold of a standard stereo, put the sideskirt back on, get a couple of jacking point covers, sort the interior plastics, and MOT it. MOT wise, im not sure if it needs anything, but last year, he took it to the most renound awkward c*nts on the town to do the MOT, they like to make money, and will fail a car even if a part is on its way, nevermind actually needs changing. he spent over £500 on it for the MOT last year, new sills and a bit of welding, a few other bits and bobs, and a couple of tyres, so i know from the test last year, there cant be much, if anything majorly wrong with it this year, because everything that needed doing last year, was doing, including the all important sills.

Soooooo, do i sort it, test it, and give it to our lass (the last option), sort it, test it, and sell it, or, do i take the bits i want, and break it, opinions please ???

This was the car last summer, but as side, its now missing a sideskirt and is on three alloys and a steel wheel

I love a MK2 Mondeo anyway, but that is stunning! Never seen that colour before.
I think with a set of ST24/200 alloys and a ford badge on the grille and that would look so sexy!

I think you should give it to the wife... or me?

Be fair Tiff - if you've only driven a Mondeo it will only compare to a Mondeo.

Sensible talk mate, but if it was worth a grand, for what ive give for it, and could get the bits it needs, if it was worth a grand, that would defo be the route id take, be more like £700 sorted with a years ticket, which wouldnt make a great deal of profit

After sleeping on it, im leaning towards sorting it, putting a years ticket on it, then deciding what to do. breaking it would make the most money, but its going to be outside my house, and that might wind the neighbours up a tad, as it i dont have a drive/garage, plus its to good to break tbh
