as above, Stockmann was the turbo 1.3 people if memory is correct

2.0 xr4x4`s were not shit, i loved all of mine

Any more facts anyone wants to give?

i know the EFi pinto granada and sierra had the most powerful and advanced ECU`s of any production car at the time! (according to an old ford sales mag)

Here's one;

The Sierra was designed as an Estate, then the design for the hatch came out of that.
Previously cars were designed as saloons/hatches and the Estate design came after.

haha 400 bhp out of the box facts were not that good like xr8 also had 35 special made part to make it fit ! Rod was not 900 bhp at the time of 206 mph was it ! not a fact

where does it say he had 900 at the time of the record?

it says it has 900 bhp, and it has held the record for a while. both of which are true, we've been told often enough

Not sure number 4, about the 500 injector's is correct, i.e. having a restrictor to stop the fuel?

They certainly wern't wired in either!

the efi head had a better flow due to the egg shaped inlet ports compared to the round ports on the carb'd versions

The outlet coming off the top fuel rail has a metal blank over the end to stop fuel flowing down into the second rail, I guess thats what they mean.

They have a dummy wiring loom onto the second set of injectors that has a plug tucked under the battery tray going no where.

the sierra minker used the same ecu as a lola f1 car

the unlock turn has a needle roller bearing in it which needs the tumblers to be correct before it twists to open, but to lock, there is no obstruction so you can lock with any ford tibbe key

try it the next time you are out, assuming you have 2 fords on your drive

on the lock thing, i was told ford did this on purpose incase you lost your keys you could lock it with another set from a neighbour etc, obviousley this was before the times of scum lol

RS500`s singlehandedly got themselves banned from BTCC

It still applies on models today, as said so long as it's a "tibbe" lock.
