just found the brass looking sensor which i can only assum is supposed to be plugged in somewhere near to where it is now because the wiring loom looks original and uncut.... also i have a very tiny thermostat leak looks like a plug which is at the bottom with a wierd spring clip is simply leaking

 

Can anybody confirm what this should be doing and where all the temp sensors are located as the car rises to normal temp and normal rate all seems ok ???confusing

 

can confirm this was a sensor fitted to monitor enginebay temp as a recall by ford

 

Yep, was a recall when cars were new, fans would cut in if underbonnet temp got too high.

 

Ive seen this on a few focuses the 1.8 and 2ltr zetecs are the same.

 

thats a relief, mines the same and i was gonna spend my next free saturday looking for where that should be located! Cheers for that!!!
