Default vibratechnic mounts

Looking at getting gearbox and engine mounts, been on burtons website and they have competition ones and hd ones, how are they very different, apart from price.

Also is there anywhere cheaper to buy them..

Thanks, Joe

I made my own by modifying a normal set! Probably not quite as good as vaibratechnics but it stands me at about £14 for a CVH top mount including the mod! you want more info let me know! It is not very difficult to do!

Aparently the cars are awful to drive when the gearbox mount has been changed.

I pur vibratech mounts on my 4x4 saff cossie and.it changed the way the car drove. It sounds daft but the car felt more responsive.I would defo reckonmend them.Look on ebay there are always cheap ones popping up.

the 2wd vibra-technics one is basically a solid mount with a 2 rubber washers on the fixing bolts! i drove it round town once and the noise through the car was unbareable! it came straight off and fitted a grp N one from ggr, dont know if they still sell them now?

Go for the comp ones as i've heard of HD splitting years ago - that was on a FRST - if Burton are an honest company the should tell you what power levels they limit at and if they've had issues with either in the past

If you get a set make sure you get the road version. The comp ones are too stiff for everyday use.
