xbox live again....
....can i add my son , who plays in his house against me in mine in private deathmatches, so we can both play in the same 8 player free for all deathmatch? how do i do it?

Yes but not sure how to do it mate sorry. Maybe just google it with keywords. If you play online already, you'll have probably seen two names the same but with a (1) after one of them - that's what your kids will appear like if they are on splitscreen.Then just invite them to your party/game.

Yes, add them as a friend and invite to game.
Your son and daughter can both play you aswell, if they have to controllers switched on, then go onto live ad add controlled it puts a (1) at the end of the users name. Kind of like a plus one, and you just invite them when online and away you go
