Default How much are people paying for units ?

Ive just started renting a large barn/unit its 160ft long and 45ft wide its bloody massive.

Just put 12 cubic meters of concrete down on the floor and still need another 8 or so to make it workable!!

Just wondered what the going rate for space is as this is very cheap indeed, a cracking find with a tidy up ill have a mint workshop for my escort and quads

Ill get some pics sorted

I rent a similar size barn 130ft x45ft inc limited leccy for about £250 per months no extra bills. If I were you I would build a strong room in there, I learnt the hard way by being nieve about tools etc. I had a break in just over a year ago I lost £8500 in snap-on tools and had my land rover and group a escort stripped in one night . I now take my tools home every night and have bought an alarm witch has a sim card in it and rings or texts five saved numbers until you reset the alarm. It's hard to get insurance on theft from farm buildings. It's still the best value for money tho without the brake in.

just had a quote for 300 quid per month for a two car unit with a mezanine floor - is that expensive or about right?

Its a bit more than what im currently paying for two lock up garages but the unit has electricity and is more secure too.

I've been looking for a while now for a unit near Southend. They're all dreamers with the price, or just too small. Grrr.

My mates dad runs a security business and were looking into the alarm that sends a text out

A Alarm that sends a text out is no good, not unless your text alert is very loud.

Ours calls us and plays a recorded message, its had a few moments where something has tripped a PIR but atleast it proves it works, you can have upto 4 peoples numbers stored in it too so it will call the 1st number then 2nd etc..

I find it strange that everyone doesn't use these now, the B5JAM Escort was sat somewhere that had no security whatsoever, had they of had a alarm with a dialler someone may of been on the scene quick enough to prevent it going anywhere, I'm sure this could be said about many units and break ins.

You don't need a phone line for all of them either
