I've got a57 plate 3L auto. No probs yet, it is quiet heavy on fuel with it being a auto. It pulls well, not sure about off road, but I've only needed top put it in 4wd twice in the snow

Great trucks, however the latest model is due out any day now so i'd hang on a few weeks as no doubt used prices will tumble.

There was a problem with the cold starting on some of them which was sorted with a fuel filter upgrade something to do with the fuel freezing so they changed the mesh inside the filter.

Also ive changed a few 5th gears on them too just try taking it for a longish drive and get it upto temp then just put it in 5th and drive see if it jumps out if it does its lack of oil getting to the 5th gear which causes this, now ford have brought out a upgraded gear out to solve this problem.

Apart from this and worn lock stops they very rarely go wrong hope this helps.
Cheers Steve
