Classic insurance
Put simply, Is there a minimum age you need to be for it? I'm 19 and I'd love an old XR2 as my next motor but insurance is obviously a killer for me.

I don't think there is an age limit mate
BUT I'm sure in my experience they are normally very limited mileage policies and you don't normally earn no claims on them

You will always find someone to insure you on any car... it just depends on how deep your pockets are.
I had my XR2i, XR3i, XR2 all between 20-25. The XR3i Cabby was the most expensive to insure, but I was living with parents so had the cash to spend.

It was 25 on most websites, but if you just ring them up they will generally do it for you in my experience..

Not sure on the classic policies but for decent pricing give "need2insure" a bell.
They came up with a real good price for me on a focus rs. Where others were quoting figures around the £1500 mark, they quoted £592! huge difference
cheers

Had to wait until 25 for mine, was told no-one will give them out until you're 23 minimum with loads of NCB...

To qualify for one if you're below 25, shows less liability to insurer I suppose...
