the biggest problems on these are rust and head gaskets they will have gone at one point and allways have been skimmed as they warp easy

It's funny you mention the 300ZX, I ran a TT manual for a short while a few years back after having run a Supra turbo auto. The ZX was much quicker and felt more planted. The engine was a little tired but I am not particularly hard on my cars.My mate who bought the car off me is, he gave it absolute death for twelve months then sold it to Z world for very near what he gave me for it!
Regarding the Supra, very well made, good build quality, head gaskets are an issue and beware bottom end rumble.Listen carefully on cold start - bottom end wear will result in rattle until the oil pressure builds. It will sound fine once the oil gets round, but have seen them throw a rod in extreme cases.

not very fast due to being heavy sods, handling depends on condition of suspension.
i've only been in one, handled really badly, felt planted on the straights when foot went down. it got sold not long after a couple of months as it was a little too thirsty.

ive got 2 of these. how they are slow i dont understand, and they are so easy to get the back out.

get rid of the fan and hard wire one in to keep it cool.

the heads are prone to go on these.

Went to pick it up this morning,
first impressions were YES very clean in and out! Pop the bonnet and theres signs of coolant loss out the rad cap and overflow!!
I dont understand how the bloke selling it and the garage it was MOT'd at failled to notice the headgasket gone!!
Anyway got it for a bargain as there was no way I was paying £940 for a knackered car!!
Anyone done a headgasket on one of these? Anything to be wary of?
Looks straight forward enough to do!
Also need to get hold of a drivers seat in blue leather if anyone knows of any sources?

ditch the seats mate a stick a pair of buckets in it, if you strip the interior out you'll shed a load of weight and it will be better to drive.

BHG is easy to do. only thing is its a straight six and the long front nose on them makes it back aching getting the head off. remove the inlet and exhaust manifolds before tring to lift it.

if you do it, go for a multilayer head gasket and new head bolts
