as above can a cosworth water pump be rebuit it's a rs500 pump so not to say i can just buy a new one

even if i had to buy a new 2wd or 4x4 pump to take the bit's out of i wouldn't mind

is there a difference in the 500 to the normal 3dr pump?

 

i beleive so. The housing is different i know for a fact. Perhaps a 3dr one will fit but its then not origional. Im sure ford changed for a reason. Maybe it has more/less bolt holes to bolt to the block etc? Paul at nyrs will know for sure aswell as a few other folks

it's the pipe leaving the top of of the 500 pump lines up perfect with the 500 thermostat houseing where a differant pump won't line up as good

 

Why a 500 pump damo - could you not just run a 4x4 pump as they must be of equal flow if not better than a 500 item

 

i thought 4x4 and 500 pumps were the same? if not mk motorsport makes billet rebuildable pumps

if need be i will get a silicone hose made to mate the 500 thermostate to the 4x4 pump if rouse will do one for me

the hose joining a 500 thermostat to the 4x4 pump won't be bang on line but the way thing's are looking i'll get rouse make me a hose to fit 100%
