I have replicated the alloy T series pipes in steel but now wondering if they are going to be fine internally if they are zinc coated or will they still corrode?



Unsure what to do now, the other option is to fit JIC fitting etc but would have preferred to go the metal pipe route

What have others done?

 

My one proper cooked and melted the silicone water pipes I have fitted 8mm braided pipe and put heat jackets on to deflect the heat away, don't know how long it will last though

Jic fittings with proper braided hose, and some sort of heat protection should be fine

 

Has anyone used steel pipe or used the standard alloy pipes and welded on to alloy banjo fittings? in fact does anyone know of a company that sell M14 alloy banjo fittings that aren't JIC

I have nothing against JIC and teflon hose but i think the standard way is best if you can work it out
