Default airbag light, mondeo

the other day the airbag light started flashing on my mondeo, but wood then go off, now its on constantly
any ideas??

Get it plugged into a diagnostic machine otherwise you may aswell be pissing into the wind trying all different things.

its never bin on before and just come on all of a sudden, i have not touched anythink wire wise, its got original steering wheel on ect

Could be steering wheel squib but without plugging it in and checking where the problem is its hard to say.

Airbag or seat belt restraint system fault.If none of them have deployed then could be an open circuit fault.You need a mobile diagnostic guy to come and check it with a laptop.Should be around £40 or take it to ford for £120.

You don't need to use diagnostics, that just makes things easy.

Things can be done like said, checking connections etc which is what is most likely to be the problem.

Seriously, wiggle the connection under the seat before spending on diagnostics. It's a big yellow connector, you can't miss it.

What Dan said. Same thing happened with mine and wiggling gives a temp fix but it does come back. So wiggle it again and send us the £40!
