ive got a 2003 focus st170 and the engine light keeps coming on and when you read the code it says "inlet runner control stuck open" and ive been advised to replace it so if anyone knows where i could get hold of 1 or fix the problem with the existing 1 that would be great coz ford want £275 for a new part

Guys, I have recently been told that my 'Inlet Manifold Runner' was stuck open.

Upon investigation I had found that the Return cam on the shaft had come off.

I repositioned it and loaded up the spring to open it when not being pulled by the cable.

I have discovered to day that is has come off and the return spring has gone missing, as I didn't know until reading these threads that a star washer should have been used to secure it in postion.

I have now orderd a new cam and clip from my local dealer, Vospers of Plymouth, but they don't know if the spring comes in the kit.

Does anyone know if it does and if not, where can I get one?
