Default Switched to a T4, what else do I need to do? (UPDATE-Gearbox has shat itself)

Ok I've finally bit the bullet and bought a T4, something I've always wanted to try so I hope it's not a dissapointment

Basically i have a good spec stage 3 4x4 saph, which has standard internals and so far i dont plan to meddle with that too much until I have it all up and running.
From what I have read on here to fit this turbo I will need the following;

This is my recipe ** things I dont have yet.
T4 turbo
Alternator drop braket
2WD manifold
Turbo hanger thingee**
Bigger hoses for the T4**
Siemens 83 fuel injectors
Air injectors**
Modified exhaust downpipe with lambda boss for closed loop**
RS 500 cooler
Grp A headgasket
Alloy Radiator
Breather system
3 bar
Grp A pump with new loom and full aeroquip
Swirl pot and all the shiney nonsense
New fan loom
Chip of some description?**

From doing some research and calling MSD (James) I was advised and explained the benefits of running air injectors with this setup, something which I had overlooked and now almost fully ubderstand why, I would be alot more comfortable doing it this way after reading more about it last night.

So my next quaestion is, what have I forgotten???

Yeah it's all covered mate, I see your point though, it's easy to not look past the engine sometimes! It has a reconditioned set of AP's on it and new tyres so we're all good there!
I think the only thing I have missed that I''m aware of is the transmission, but that's a work in progress.

What Clutch are you using?

May also be worth thinking about a set of uprated engine mounts.

Ok I will look into the wasted spark gear, it has the usual grp A coil on it justnow, already has the engine mounts done not long ago (vibratechnics) and clutch wise, I stuck in an uprated one but I cant remember which one, it's not a paddle though, I think it's just some AP organic plate with std cover.

I was told you'd be pushing an organic one to handle 480-500hp, so you may be ok, not sure what power you're aiming for?

I just skim read this thread so apologies if i've missed them, and i'm sure they've been mentioned, but put a set of fuel injectors on that list

For what its worth, i'm running 22psi held with Siemens 55s on my RS500 (standard engine) and I did that with Stu driving and me mapping - it's a really nice drive. Obviously the T4 is somewhat 'dead' below 4000rpm but the punch of power delivery puts a grin on your face!

i would nt say you need an Alloy Radiator, as long as your std one is in good condition

If you have a 4x4 head i would buy a Spec-R Rs500 turbo damper adapter, this then allows you to use an RS500 turbo damper.

You'll also need to file a lug off of the head, it is located above Cylinder 1 exhaust port just beloe the cam cover, the turbo will foul this otherwise.

Also when you fit the alternator drop bracket you'll need to cut a lug off of the block, you can't miss it

Standard at the moment, but I'm under no illusions in that department.
Wes, much appreciated for the input mate, the more homework I do now the easier it will be for putting it all together!
Rgds the injectors, no they will be fine.

A book to read whilst it winds up and comes on boost?

I wouldn't get a T4 unless it had a roller bearing core!

You need my cam cover m8, look in for sale section, it has the alloy part welded on the side to bolt a RS500 horseshoe damper on it.

Do some research on mappers. See which mappers get the results. Some mappers don't seem to be able to get proper results. You'll find tony@ Turbosystems gets probably the best results.

Nicely edited!
I'll give him a phone too, already spoken to a couple of tuners, just amassing the parts right now, I'm sitting typing this in terminal 5 waiting for a flight to Dubai so I hope to have all or most of the bits waiting for me by the time I get back to the UK in feb.

Still doing research, even got told by one tuner not to stick this turbo on my setup....pah its bought and its going on!

Anyway Ive got the new turbo but its not 100% complete, the oil feed connection is mssing and i need to buy a new one, dont want grubby old shit on it, but can someone tell me if its the same thread as a T4?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Escort-Rs-Turbo-inc-Cosworth-T3-Oil-Feed-Turbo-Union-/140445678579?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM& hash=item20b336fbf3

Also, I'm running a 2WD manifold onto 4x4 engine with 4x4 sump, will i need this part to because the manifold is in different place?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sierra-RS-Cosworth-2wd-Turbo-Oil-Return-Pipe-/120851481190?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM& hash=item1c234f4266

Assistance appreciated.

The std union has restricted flow but I don't think that one in the top link has that looks like a joiner from Pirtec. I think it's 1/8npt one side and 1/4bsp the other.

The 2wd oil drain pipe will fit nicer than the 4x4 but it is possible to use the one you have.

Rog,
Think I still have a 500 intercooler stashed away someplace if you need one.

Cant see me ever needing it again.

Cheers Dan, Ive got all those bits already then.
Toughy, got one already thanks mate. I might know a man locally who's after one, I will ask.

I'm still away justnow, nit sure when I am getting home but need to order the following parts to complete the build, may aswell do that via ebay so it's all there for when I get back.
Turbo hanger thingee**Finally found good priced one, bugger paying 190 for one
Bigger hoses for the T4** Not sure on my intercooler piping size as will have to measure
Air injectors**There seems to be only one vendo, still looking
Modified exhaust downpipe with lambda boss for closed loop**Will DIY this
Chip of some description**Looking like MSD

Ok here's an update, after almost completing the upgrade i realise that the turbo cost was only a small part of it.... food for thought.

915 -T4 turbo
XX-Alternator drop braket-NOT REQUIRED
30-2WD manifold
150-Turbo hanger thingee
110-Bigger hoses for the T4
185-Siemens 83 fuel injectors (still waiting for these from Fiveomotorsport in the US)
XXX-Air injectors (looks like I wont be running them now)
60-Fuel pump loom
50-New fan loom
220-Stack AFR guage
75-Cone filter
75-Gaskets and bolts
XXX-Chip/Setup
80-refurbed cam cover
15-Lambda bosses for downpipe
20-Longer oil feed pipe from head to turbo
XX-Random bent black hose from a 51 plate fiesta for free (from stat to the water pipe for heater matrix.)

Thats a tidy 1985 without a chip, I made a list before hand that approximated at 1500, how wrong was I, sure it'll be worth it though.
Now it's off to worry about the box and a hyd clutch conversion.
