Hi, am i right in thinking that 2wd saph cossie have 7.5' rear diff as standard? What are the differences in diffs as i see ppl mention 7' and 7.5 alot whats the pro's con's etc?

 

7'' is saph 4x4 diff
7.5'' is 2wd diff

 

Correct 2WD has 7.5, as did Granada's, lesser models had 7" diffs (Although some late DOHC 2L had 7.5") the 4x4 beam is just the same as a lesser model, the 2WD beam is different so as to accommodate the bigger diff, so you can't simply just change the diff.

In both Cosworth models they naturally are LSD'S.

How much do 7.5 2wd rear diffs go for these days?

 

i just paid 150 for mine but they average around the 150-200 quid mark

 

Cool just wanted to get idea as will possibly have one for sale soon.

 

my advise mate is

if you dont need the money from it keep it as a spair
good parts are hard to come by these days

keep what ever you can you may need it one day
