Been playing on battle field 3 for a few weeks now. Enjoying it loads!!

Fancy a driving game, but dont know what to get? Not bothered about playing it online.

GT5 is a good game.
Also consider the need for speed games.
I have need for speed the run and its good.

 

NFS series are a bit arcadie to be proper driving games, but they are good fun.

 

just remember if you get gt5, theres gonna be a complete ton of updates for it...

ps just got new car pack 3 and track today..

 

I have had GT5 since it came out but can't get into it, Might give it a go tonight though

 

I'm at the stage where I need a couple of mega cars to compete in the highest races... and don't have enough money to buy anything since I can't resist buying WRC cars when they come up for sale and buying brand new cars just so I can throw some wheels on them, drop them and see how quick they can be.

I remember playing on GT back in the day, on a ps2.

So you can still modify your cars then?

Yes you can still modify cars, not as much as say forza, but you can upgrade the parts, tune them, do racing conversions, update the wheels, add spoilers.

Since GT5's release there has been LOADS of updates adding new features, there is so much now its almost a totally different game now! 16 updates in total.

Motorstorm is definitely worth a look at too, just for balls out racing on bikes against fuck off size lorry's etc etc. Keeps me entertained anyway

 

And flipping someone the bird as you overtake them too

 

GT5 but it will take literally hours to update

i've just finished Driver:San Francisco which is a good laugh, but not immensely realistic. you still need to correct oversteer but can drift etc. stunt challenges are a good laugh.

 

Currently playing 3 racing games.....

GT5 - Great game and just getting back into it, did the GTR ring challenge the other night and nailed it on my 3rd lap.

Driver SF - Spent yours playing the original ones so had to have this and it's loads of fun! Nice change from GT5 as well, just online trophies to get now.

F1 2010 - Has to be one of the best racing games I've played, if you like precision racing you have to play this!

 

ether buy a xbox and get forza 2, 3 or 4 as there all better than gt5 or gtaIV for the ps3. gt5 is shit the cars drive wank and enless it a "premium car" you use the cars look shit gt4 is better

GTA IV and Driver San Francisco are great too, but obviously different types of game.

 

Dirt is awesome to just play for half hour now and again

I've got GT5 now, my partner also bought me gt5 prologue!

I've noticed the cash prizes between these two games are different. You only get a few grand a race on gt5. Anyone know a easier way to build money up, to buy a few cars to do races? I've done both licenses and completed approx 10 races winning! gold

Must admit gt5 was disappointing when I first got it, same old floating, ploughing on through corners feeling. I think NFS gives a better feel like the tyres are actually on the Tarmac and the blur when you go really fast actually gets your arse going whereas gt5 high speed just doesn't feel real.

I do like the different cars you can get and love the used car sales.

I got quite far and have found myself needing something mega but not wanting to sell all my rare cars

 

Wondered how long it'd take until a fanboy appeared.

Because GT5 is more real, you will find its impossible to turn a real car at the speed you do in Nfs.

I've never been able to get into GT5, seems to take forever to get anywhere I.e. licenses Forza looks way more appealing...

 

Picked up Dirt 3 the other day and damn that game is good fun!
